c Designer! The opportunity to contribute to one of the most ambitious studios in the industry is a dream come true. Time to trade in my Baldur’s Gate dice for some Polish steel and get to work crafting some epic cutscenes.”

With the addition of Pedulla to CD Projekt RED, the team behind The Witcher 4 has expanded significantly. The company reported in their recent earnings report that they now have 447 developers working on the highly-anticipated RPG, which is a slight increase from the previous report where they had 444 developers. This growth is not limited to The Witcher 4 alone; other projects like Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel, referred to internally as Project Orion, have also seen an increase in team members by 21. Similarly, in-development projects like Sirius and Hader have seen modest growth in their respective teams.

During the earnings call, co-CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed that The Witcher 4 is progressing as planned and has entered the full-scale production phase. When asked about the release date, Nowakowski mentioned that they do not have plans to launch the game in 2026. He stated, “The Witcher 4 is in the full-scale production phase. We’re not disclosing any details about the target release date, so there’s no point in time I could refer to when answering such a question.”

As CD Projekt RED continues to work on The Witcher 4, fans can expect the game to be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The addition of Pedulla, with his experience working on projects like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Hunt: Showdown, brings a wealth of creativity and talent to the team. With the game now in full-scale production, the studio is focused on crafting an epic experience for players. So, stay tuned for more updates on The Witcher 4 as development progresses.
