Looking ahead, Joby plans to double its production capacity in 2027. The company has recently acquired a manufacturing facility in the Dayton, Ohio area, which spans more than 700,000 square feet and will support the production of four aircraft per month next year.

In terms of technological advancements, Joby’s hybrid turbine-electric demonstrator recently completed its first flight. This autonomous VTOL aircraft successfully flew just three months after its concept was announced, in partnership with L3Harris Technologies.

Financially, Joby reported having $1.4 billion in cash and short-term investments as of Q4 2025, with an additional net $1.2 billion received in February 2026. Founder and CEO, JoeBen Bevirt, expressed confidence in the company’s future, stating that 2026 will be a pivotal year for Joby. He emphasized the shift in focus from market entry to production scalability, in anticipation of high demand.
