Anya Grossmann, the recently appointed director of alumni engagement at UC Law SF, has embarked on a mission to fortify the bonds between the university and its graduates. With a background in legal practice and experience in higher education, Grossmann envisions enhancing programs that enable alumni to impart their knowledge, assist students, and maintain ties with their alma mater.

Grossmann perceives alumni engagement as a crucial, enduring connection that mutually benefits students and graduates throughout their professional journeys. Her primary objective is to cultivate deeper relationships between UC Law SF and its alumni, fostering opportunities for alumni to contribute meaningfully to the university community.

Reflecting on her trajectory, Grossmann shares insights into her past experiences and her aspirations for expanding avenues for alumni involvement. Hailing from Berkeley, she ventured to the East Coast to pursue her JD at Penn Law and pursued a career in civil investigations and securities litigation. Subsequently, drawn back by her affinity for learning, Grossmann transitioned to a career in higher education, spending over a decade at Berkeley Law in various roles, culminating in serving as the senior director of admissions and recruitment for the LL.M. and J.S.D. programs. She underscores her passion for academia, relishing the opportunity to delve into diverse subject areas within a vibrant intellectual community.

Eager to assume her current position, Grossmann articulates her enthusiasm for the symbiotic relationship between alumni and their alma mater.
