Fiduciary Services Group Acquires Future Planning Associates – 401k Specialist
Fiduciary Services Group has recently completed the acquisition of Future Planning Associates, Inc. (FPA), a company specializing in third-party administration (TPA) and recordkeeping services based in Vermont. This acquisition marks FSG’s third TPA purchase in the last 14 months and its second acquisition in the New England region.
Scott David, CEO of Fiduciary Services Group, emphasized the significance of this acquisition in expanding their retirement services platform while maintaining a high standard of quality. He mentioned that Future Planning Associates’ established reputation and strong client relationships make them an excellent addition to FSG’s operations, particularly in New England.
Kristin McCarthy, head of DWC, pointed out the valuable experience that the FPA team brings to the table, with team members boasting tenures ranging from eight to 35 years and an impressive 99% client retention rate. McCarthy emphasized how FPA’s specialized knowledge aligns perfectly with DWC’s commitment to exceptional service. The integration of FPA into DWC’s operational infrastructure is expected to enhance client service delivery and elevate their administration services across the country.
Future Planning Associates expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with FSG and DWC, highlighting their objective of maintaining personalized service while leveraging growth opportunities. Erin R. Helmken, the president of FPA, emphasized the exciting prospects that lie ahead for their team with FSG’s resources and long-term vision, allowing them to enhance client services while remaining true to their core values.
In addition to their expertise in third-party administration, FPA also brings recordkeeping capabilities to FSG. Daryl Straw, the chief operating officer of Future Planning Associates, noted the potential challenges that smaller firms like theirs face in terms of transitioning to new technology as their existing recordkeeping platform nears its end. The decision to join FSG was influenced by the proven track record of PCS Retirement in transitioning firms like FPA and modernizing their systems.
The acquisition of Future Planning Associates by Fiduciary Services Group signifies a strategic move to strengthen their retirement services offerings and expand their presence in the New England market. With a focus on preserving personalized service and enhancing client offerings, this partnership is poised to deliver best-in-class administration services for retirement plans nationwide.
