Cornerstone Research elevates four employees to principal roles
Cornerstone Research, an economic and financial consulting firm based in San Francisco, recently announced the promotion of Phuong Dinh, Ildiko Magyari, Alan Potter, and Qiqi Zou to principal positions within the organization.
Phuong Dinh, located in Boston, utilizes data science tools to bolster expert testimony in commercial litigation. She takes charge of teams in developing data analytics code libraries for cases involving market manipulation, disruptive trading allegations, valuations, and digital assets. Dinh began her journey with Cornerstone in 2016 as an analyst and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from Carleton College.
Ildiko Magyari, PhD, stationed in New York, employs industrial organization and econometric techniques to address antitrust and competition matters. She aids clients in M&A investigations across various industries and provides support to experts in antitrust litigation within the technology sector. With a background at NERA Economic Consulting, Magyari joined Cornerstone in 2024 and obtained her PhD in economics from Columbia University.
Alan Potter, PhD, also based in New York, offers guidance on consumer fraud and product liability claims. Leveraging his expertise in analyzing extensive datasets related to consumer behavior and decisions, Potter joined Cornerstone as an associate in 2019. He previously worked as a researcher at the UN, specializing in advising on infrastructure and public-private partnerships in emerging economies. Potter holds a PhD in political economy from New York University.
Qiqi Zou, PhD, situated in New York, specializes in securities class actions, financial institutions, and structured finance cases. In securities litigation, Zou addresses matters related to class certification, loss causation, and damages, focusing on Rule 10b-5, Section 11, and Section 14 issues. Zou commenced her journey at Cornerstone in 2016 as an associate and holds a PhD in finance from the National University of Singapore.
Additionally, Cornerstone Research announced the promotion of five team members to vice president roles: Sara Champion, Avigail Kifer, Matteo Li Bergolis, Elisa Olivieri, and M. Scott Wilson.
