The data, extracted from GlobalData’s Financial Deals Database, shows that Latham & Watkins outshined the competition in terms of deal value, overseeing transactions totaling an impressive $35 billion. On the other hand, Kirkland & Ellis dominated in deal volume, orchestrating a grand total of 36 transactions.

GlobalData’s lead analyst, Aurojyoti Bose, highlighted Kirkland & Ellis’ consistent performance, maintaining its leading role in deal volume for both 2024 and 2025, despite a slight decline in the total number of transactions. Latham & Watkins, on the other hand, secured its position as the front-runner by value, spearheading 14 billion-dollar deals throughout 2025, solidifying its top position. Furthermore, Latham & Watkins also clinched the third spot in terms of volume in 2025.

Following closely behind Latham & Watkins in terms of deal value was Sullivan & Cromwell, securing the second position by providing advisory services on deals worth $26.2 billion. White & Case snagged the third spot with deals amounting to $23.5 billion, while Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom closely followed with $23.2 billion and $21.7 billion, respectively.

On the deal volume front, CMS stood as the second-ranked firm with 36 transactions under its belt, with Latham & Watkins, DLA Piper, and Baker McKenzie completing the list with 34, 30, and 26 deals, respectively.
