NDSU Extension hosting Dry Bean webinar Feb. 17
NDSU Extension is inviting farmers and crop advisers in search of research-based dry bean production recommendations to attend the upcoming Getting It Right in Dry Bean Production webinar on February 17. This educational event, organized by NDSU Extension and sponsored by the Northarvest Bean Growers Association, is designed to address key agronomic challenges faced by dry bean producers in North Dakota.
According to Ana Carcedo, NDSU Extension broadleaf crops agronomist, last year presented difficulties for dry bean producers, particularly in managing white mold and other agronomic challenges. The upcoming webinar aims to provide participants with research updates and practical recommendations to assist them in making informed decisions for the upcoming 2026 growing season.
During the webinar, NDSU specialists will cover various essential topics in dry bean production, including white mold management, effective weed control strategies, inoculation considerations, and a market outlook. Each session will end with a live Q&A session, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers and seek answers to questions specific to their farming operations.
Aside from offering valuable insights and information, certified crop advisers attending the live event will have the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. The webinar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST, and registration is required for participation.
