Sun Pharma’s stock prices soar following release of earnings report

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries saw its shares rise by nearly 4 percent following the announcement of a 16 percent increase in its consolidated net profit for the third quarter ending on December 31, 2025.

The stock witnessed a 3.81 percent increase to reach Rs 1,655.80 on the BSE, with a similar 3.78 percent increase to Rs 1,655.70 on the NSE.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,369 crore for the third quarter, seeing growth across all business segments. This marked a significant improvement from the net profit of Rs 2,903 crore from the same quarter in the previous fiscal year. Total revenue from operations also showed an impressive increase, reaching Rs 15,520 crore for the quarter compared to Rs 13,675 crore in the corresponding period the previous year.

The company’s board of directors approved an interim dividend of Rs 11 per equity share of Re 1 for the financial year 2025-26.

Sun Pharma’s Managing Director, Kirti Ganorkar, highlighted the positive results, stating, “Our results for this quarter reflect comprehensive growth across all our business verticals with a strong performance from our branded businesses in India, emerging markets, and global innovative medicines.”
