Brenmiller Energy expands offerings to provide clean heat and power to industrial sector

Brenmiller Energy has introduced a new approach, BNRG360, to provide industrial customers with a comprehensive clean energy solution that covers both heat and electricity. This strategy marks a significant shift in the company’s business model, moving beyond merely supplying technology to offering integrated energy services. By combining bGen™ TES systems with solar PV and battery energy storage, Brenmiller aims to help customers access decarbonized heat and power through long-term contracts.

Through BNRG360, industrial clients can benefit from Heat-as-a-Service and Power Purchase Agreement structures without the need for upfront capital investment. This will help lower project risks for customers, providing them with reliable and cost-effective heat and electricity solutions. Avi Brenmiller, Chief Executive Officer of Brenmiller Energy, emphasized the importance of this new strategy, stating that industrial clients are seeking a single entity to manage their energy needs. By integrating power generation, storage, and thermal assets, Brenmiller aims to simplify energy systems for customers, allowing them to focus more on their core business.

Under the BNRG360 platform, projects will include solar generation integrated into industrial facilities, battery energy storage systems, and bGen™ thermal batteries designed to convert renewable electricity into dispatchable industrial heat. Customers can choose between electricity, heat, or an Integrated Energy Service through long-term agreements. This integrated platform is intended to facilitate deeper customer decarbonization while reducing exposure to risks associated with single technology projects.

By combining their proprietary TES technology with established assets and long-term contracts, BNRG360 aims to enhance project bankability, decrease the cost of capital, and accelerate revenue recognition. In Europe, Brenmiller Energy intends to build on existing collaborations with companies like VIRIDI RE and Green Enesys. By leveraging shared project assets such as grid connections, land rights, and permitting, the company hopes to improve project economics and shorten development timelines.

Doron Brenmiller, Chief Business Officer of Brenmiller Energy, highlighted that BNRG360 positions the company as a long-term energy partner rather than just a one-time equipment supplier. This strategic shift is expected to generate sustainable shareholder value through contracted, recurring revenues, while enabling customers to decarbonize their operations at a lower total energy cost.

Brenmiller Energy’s innovative approach with BNRG360 emphasizes their commitment to providing industrial customers with bundled heat and power solutions under long-term contracts. By supporting customer decarbonization efforts and addressing project risks, this integrated strategy aims to enhance project bankability, lower capital costs, and accelerate revenue recognition. Leveraging collaborations with other industry leaders, Brenmiller Energy is working towards accelerating the origination of solar and battery projects to advance the adoption of clean energy technologies.
