Nava awarded 3-year contract by SEC to update developer tools for enterprise

Nava, a public benefit corporation, has recently been awarded a three-year contract by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to enhance and modernize the enterprise development tools utilized within the agency. This contract aims to streamline, migrate, and improve the overall developer tool ecosystem employed by the SEC across various functions including operations, training, and governance.

Sha Hwang, the Chief Operating Officer of Nava, expressed the significance of enhancing the availability and usability of enterprise developer tools within the SEC. By bolstering these tools, developers within the SEC ecosystem can improve their development capabilities and overall adaptability in response to evolving needs and technological advancements.

The contract awarded to Nava is a continuation of their ongoing partnership with the SEC. In 2023, Nava earned a position on the agency’s five-year blanket purchasing agreement (BPA), with a specific focus on specialized IT projects aimed at advancing modernization objectives. Through this agreement, Nava has actively supported the SEC in the development and implementation of cloud-based technologies, enabling the agency to modernize legacy applications and create new ones to meet their operational requirements effectively.

Established in 2015, Nava specializes in providing digital services such as software development, DevSecOps, cloud integration, and IT support to address the modernization challenges faced by federal, state, and local government agencies. With a proven track record of successful government cloud transformations, Nava has collaborated on various projects, including partnering with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to construct a self-service cloud ecosystem capable of handling a significantly larger number of applications than traditional infrastructure. This platform successfully processes claims data for up to 65 million individuals.

Nava’s latest contract with the SEC underscores their commitment to driving innovation and efficiency within government agencies through the implementation of cutting-edge technologies and streamlined processes. The company’s expertise in digital services positions them as a valuable partner in supporting government entities in their modernization efforts and enhances their overall operational capabilities.

Ultimately, Nava’s dedication to optimizing developer tools and enhancing the technological infrastructure of government agencies ensures that they remain agile, responsive, and well-equipped to address the ever-evolving demands of the modern digital landscape.
