Anghami Inc. recently reported its financial results for the first half of 2025, reporting significant growth and a strategic partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. With a revenue growth of 97%, reaching US$48.4 million for the first six months of 2025, this progress was largely fueled by the OSN+ integration and expanding subscription income. Anghami’s paid subscriber base has doubled to 3.54 million as of June 30th, 2025, with a total of over 120 million registered users, indicating a robust platform conversion rate.
A key development included Warner Bros. Discovery making a strategic investment of US$57 million in OSN Streaming Ltd., the main shareholder of Anghami. This move further strengthened exclusive content partnerships, bringing popular shows from HBO, Max Originals, and global entertainment content to audiences in the MENA region. New OSN+ partnerships were also formed with Noon and PlayStation during this period, alongside a distribution agreement with Talabat.
Elie Habib, CEO of Anghami, expressed his perspective on the company’s outstanding results, noting a revenue surge to US$48.4 million in H1 2025, with a significant portion coming from subscription income post the OSN+ integration. He highlighted operational milestones such as a 99.9% uptime achievement and improved app store ratings from 3.8 to 4.6 stars. The substantial investment from Warner Bros. Discovery further solidifies the partnership and ensures that HBO, Max Originals, and other global hits remain exclusive to OSN+ viewers in the MENA region. Looking ahead, the collaboration with Talabat is expected to enhance OSN+ distribution, paving the way for accelerated subscriber growth in the coming years.
Anghami’s performance in the first half of 2025 showcased remarkable operational progress, attributable to the successful integration of the OSN+ platform and strategic content partnerships. With paid subscribers growing by 97% year-on-year to 3.54 million and total registered users surpassing 120 million, the company experienced a significant revenue uplift of 97% to US$48.4 million. Nevertheless, the higher investments aimed at boosting subscriber acquisition for OSN+ may have impacted profitability, leading to a current loss.
