Announcement about changes in executive personnel to enhance management structure
Money Forward, Inc. releases an update regarding changes in executive personnel, effective December 1, 2025. Yamada, who previously held the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for the Money Forward Business Company, will now transition to a more strategic position as the Group CSO for the entire Money Forward Group. Kanesaka will maintain his responsibilities as a Director of the Company, focusing on the growth of the consumer business segment as President and Representative Director of Money Forward HOME, Inc. Agari, as the Group Chief Corporate Development Officer (CCDO), will spearhead initiatives for corporate development, including mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances.
In a bid to fortify its management structure, Money Forward, Inc. is welcoming four new Executive Officers into the fold. Umeda and Iwasaki will join the corporate area, while Watanabe and Matsumura will contribute their expertise to the corporate business domain.
Kokichi Umeda, the new Executive Officer and Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), boasts a background in developing core systems for direct banking and call centers at The Sanwa Bank, Ltd. before leading strategic planning for business and systems at MUFG Bank, Ltd. Having joined Money Forward in February 2025, Umeda brings a wealth of experience in operational resilience and AI governance to the table.
Keigo Watanabe steps into the role of Executive Officer and Head of the ERP Domain of the Business Segment. With a history in sales and consulting, Watanabe previously managed the marketing division at a BtoB marketing support company and later unified the marketing division at a major human resources firm. His diverse experience positions him well to drive growth within Money Forward’s ERP domain.
Michio Matsumura takes on the mantle of Executive Officer and Vice President of Design of the Business Segment. With a background in design at various companies, including mixi and Recruit Co., Ltd., Matsumura brings a wealth of knowledge in product management and design to his new role. Focusing on managing design organizations across different business domains, Matsumura is primed to elevate Money Forward’s design capabilities.
Dai Iwasaki, the new Executive Officer and Co-Officer of Legal Governance Division (Head of Overseas Business and M&A), is a seasoned legal professional admitted to both the Japan Bar and the New York State Bar. With a career spanning reputable law firms and in-house legal roles, Iwasaki’s international experience positions him well to handle legal governance and oversee overseas business and mergers and acquisitions.
