Dollar Tree plans to rebuild Marietta Distribution Center stronger than before

Dollar Tree recently observed a milestone in the construction of a new one million sq. ft. distribution center in Marietta, Oklahoma. This significant development signifies Dollar Tree’s re-establishment in the area after a tornado destroyed its previous facility in April 2024. To commemorate the groundbreaking event, Dollar Tree was joined by state and community leaders such as Governor Kevin Stitt, Senator James Lankford, and Mayor Destry Rushing.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mike Creedon, expressed his enthusiasm for the groundbreaking, highlighting the company’s dedication to the region and the community’s resilience. Dollar Tree aims to not only rehire former employees but also create new job opportunities, further solidifying its presence in the area. To give back to the community, Dollar Tree announced $50,000 in grants to support local organizations like the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Love County Fire Department.

Roxanne Weng, Dollar Tree’s Chief Supply Chain Officer, emphasized that the rebuilt facility symbolizes a renewed commitment to Marietta and a strategic investment in Dollar Tree’s supply chain. The enhanced distribution center is expected to be fully operational by spring 2027 and will cater to around 700 Dollar Tree stores in the West and Southwest regions of the U.S., contributing to the creation of 400 jobs in the community.
