BDC Advisors appoints Peter Attwater as managing director

BDC Advisors has welcomed Peter Attwater to its team as a managing director. With over 18 years of experience in healthcare strategy and M&A advisory, Attwater will be based in Atlanta, supporting organizations throughout the full M&A lifecycle. His role will involve assisting in planning, diligence, and long-term integration processes.

Andy Ziskind, MD, CEO of BDC Advisors, expressed enthusiasm for Attwater joining the team, highlighting the importance of his experience in helping clients develop resilient strategies in the evolving landscape of healthcare challenges. Attwater’s expertise will contribute to delivering an ROI on critical strategic initiatives, such as M&A and new models of affiliation and alignment for health systems and their associated physicians.

Attwater’s background includes a strong focus on healthcare M&A, post-merger integration, and enterprise transformation for provider organizations. He has collaborated with various healthcare entities, including academic medical centers, health systems, and physician groups, to refine operating models, design IT and shared services infrastructure, and drive synergy across transactions.

Formerly a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting for ten years, Attwater also spent six years with Triage Consulting Group as a manager. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor’s degree in business and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by healthcare clients, Attwater expressed his eagerness to work with them in shaping strategies that achieve efficient and effective scale while delivering meaningful results to the communities they serve.
