If you’ve ever purchased the popular sparkling prebiotic drink Poppi, you may be eligible to receive a payment as part of an $8.9 million class action settlement. This lawsuit, filed against Poppi’s former owners, VNGK Beverage, LLC, alleged that the beverages were misleadingly marketed as “gut healthy” without proper scientific evidence to support these claims. Despite the settlement reached, the former owner has refuted any wrongdoing as stated on the settlement website.

New Yorkers who have purchased Poppi drinks between January 23, 2020, and July 18, 2025, may qualify for compensation under this settlement. Eligible individuals can file a claim online using the provided Claim ID and PIN, even if they did not receive an email notice. Alternatively, claimants can opt to submit a paper claim via mail or choose to opt out or object to the settlement terms.

The deadline to file a claim for compensation is September 16, 2025. Depending on the quantity and type of Poppi products purchased, eligible consumers may receive varying amounts of cash refunds. Proof of purchase can result in reimbursement of up to $9 per 12- or 15-pack, while claims without documentation may receive up to $16, subject to approval and total claim volume.

The settlement provides an opportunity for consumers who bought Poppi drinks in the specified timeframe to seek restitution for alleged deceptive marketing practices. By understanding the details of the settlement and following the outlined procedures to file a claim, eligible individuals can potentially receive compensation for their purchases and hold companies accountable for their product representations.
