Poppi consumers may receive money from $8.9M lawsuit settlement
Poppi soda drinkers might be in for a surprise windfall as the popular sparkling prebiotic drink has settled an $8.9 million class action lawsuit. The agreement reached with VNGR Beverage, LLC, the former owner of Poppi, will see eligible customers receiving a portion of the settlement payment.
The lawsuit alleged that Poppi sodas were marketed as being “gut healthy” without any scientific evidence to back up these claims. Customers who bought any flavor or size of Poppi soda between January 23, 2020, and July 18, 2025, are eligible for compensation. However, there is a caveat for those without proof of purchase, as they can only claim up to $16. On the other hand, individuals with receipts stand to receive the following cash back amounts:
– Up to $0.75 for a single can
– $3 for a four-pack
– $6 for an eight-pack
– $9 for a 12- or 15-pack
To cash in on this opportunity, Poppi drinkers are advised to submit their claims either online or by mail before the deadline of September 16, 2025. Claimants can find more information and file their claims at poppisettlement.com.
