TheWrap is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Business Editor to take charge of and enhance its business reporting. This position calls for a seasoned editor with a strong interest in the entertainment and media industries, solid editorial instincts, and a proven track record of editing and overseeing top-notch financial and business coverage.

Responsibilities include managing and guiding TheWrap’s business journalism efforts, overseeing editorial planning, collaborating with the team, leading financial reporting, supervising breaking news and analysis, ensuring quality assurance, and engaging with the audience. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in business or financial journalism, with a focus on editing and leadership, as well as a deep understanding of the media, entertainment, and financial sectors. Strong editing skills, the ability to mentor reporters, and familiarity with financial reporting are essential qualifications.

Preferred skills include experience with digital publishing tools and analytics, a strong network of industry sources, and previous work at a subscription-based or industry-focused publication. The salary for this role typically ranges from $110,000 to $130,000, with room for variation based on experience.
