MLT Aikins Announces 15 New Partners for 2025

MLT Aikins, a law firm based in the western provinces, is starting off 2025 by welcoming 15 new partners to their team. The new partners come from various regions and bring a diverse set of expertise to the firm.

In Vancouver, Andy Chow, a seasoned patent and trademark lawyer, is joining the partnership. Andy has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, industrial design, and copyright matters. Graham Christie, who specializes in labor and employment law, is also becoming a partner. Graham’s practice focuses on providing practical solutions for employers in various areas of labor and employment law.

Mark Gill, another new partner, practices in banking and financial services, with a particular emphasis on complex debt financing and lending transactions. Jennifer Williams, with over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate law, will also be a new partner, bringing her expertise in real estate transactions, commercial leasing, and Indigenous real estate matters.

Moving to Calgary, Mark Mielke is joining as a partner with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and securities. He works with businesses across different sectors, including technology, life sciences, energy, cannabis, and transportation.

In Saskatoon, Anna Beatch provides legal advice to Indigenous governing bodies on governance matters, economic development, and self-government issues. Ryan Holfeld and Nicholas Horlick are also new partners in Saskatoon, with Ryan focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance, and Nick specializing in tax dispute resolution and tax litigation.

Turner Ralston’s practice in Saskatoon focuses on disputes in the construction and agricultural industries, while Janelle Souter brings her expertise in litigation to the firm, appearing before various courts in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Jeremie Roussel in Regina practices corporate and commercial law, especially in construction and procurement. In Winnipeg, Colin Findlay practices corporate and commercial law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate. Nicolas Joubert is another Winnipeg-based partner, specializing in technology, intellectual property, and privacy law.

Patrick Keating also joins the team in Winnipeg, focusing on corporate and commercial transactions with an emphasis on real estate and banking matters. Devin Wehrle, specializing in labor and employment law, will round out the new partners at MLT Aikins.
