The Moot Court Committee at NMIMS Navi Mumbai’s School of Law is excited to announce the commencement of the Fifth Annual Moot Court Competition 2026 focusing on Securities Law. This prestigious competition provides law students with a valuable opportunity to engage in rigorous academic discourse and practical advocacy skills within the realm of securities regulation.

SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus has established itself as a leading institution in India with a rich history of academic excellence. The Moot Court Committee at NMIMS Navi Mumbai’s School of Law is a dedicated group of passionate individuals, including law students, faculty advisors, and legal professionals. Led by esteemed Program Chairperson, Prof. Manisha Band, and Faculty Mentors, Prof. Aman Gautam, the committee organizes a variety of events and competitions throughout the academic year. These include the Novice Moot Court Competition, Intra Moot Court Competition, and the highly esteemed Annual Moot Court Competition, which challenges participants to navigate complex legal scenarios and showcase their expertise.

The Fifth Edition of the Annual Moot Court Competition will revolve around the theme of Securities Law. This theme addresses the dynamic and critical aspects of securities regulation in today’s rapidly evolving financial landscape. With a focus on topics such as regulatory framework, corporate accountability, market transparency, and investor protection, the competition aims to stimulate discussion and research in this intricate area of law.

Moreover, the competition will attract both national and international students, creating a diverse and enriching environment for cross-cultural exchange and collaboration. All students enrolled in a three (3) year LL.B. program or a five (5) year integrated law program are eligible to participate in the competition. However, students enrolled in post-graduate or diploma courses are not eligible. Institutions are invited to register teams consisting of no more than three members. Additionally, the competition is open to Cross-Institute Teams, provided they submit a No Objection Certificate from their respective colleges, institutes, universities, or Moot Court Committees.

The event is scheduled for 28th and 29th March 2026 at SVKM’s NMIMS, Navi Mumbai Campus in Maharashtra. The campus provides a prime location and state-of-the-art facilities, making it an ideal setting for hosting national and international legal competitions.
