Merit Financial acquires GlennCo, a specialist in 401k services.

Merit Financial Advisors has recently acquired GlennCo, a wealth management firm based in Newtown, Pennsylvania. This acquisition brings approximately $208 million in total assets to Merit and expands its reach in Bucks County, establishing its seventh office in Pennsylvania. Over the past three years, GlennCo has grown its wealth advisory team and office space, setting the stage for accelerated growth and enhanced client solutions through its partnership with Merit.

Ryan Evans and Nick Wilkins, Merit Regional Directors and Partners who joined the firm through the acquisition of Blueprint Wealth Advisors in November, spearheaded the acquisition of GlennCo. Glenn Cohen, the owner and wealth manager of GlennCo, along with his entire team, will be joining Merit as wealth managers. Ryan expressed excitement about the new partnership, highlighting GlennCo’s impressive practice growth, commitment to objective planning, and client-centered approach, which align well with Merit’s expansion goals in the Newtown area.

This acquisition marks Merit’s fifty-fifth, following closely on the heels of the acquisition of TL Financial Group, adding approximately $213 million in assets and marking the firm’s entry into Michigan. Glenn shared his perspective on joining forces with Merit, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the high level of service that clients have come to expect and trust. The partnership with Merit provides GlennCo with the necessary scale and support for growth while prioritizing the client experience as the core focus of their operations.

GlennCo’s transition to Merit from Commonwealth solidifies Merit’s position as a trusted partner for wealth management firms. This latest acquisition adds GlennCo to a list of successful acquisitions from Commonwealth, including TL Financial Group, Blueprint Wealth Advisors, and Global Wealth Advisors. The deal was closed on February 6, 2026, although specific financial and legal details were not disclosed.

Overall, Merit’s acquisition of GlennCo represents a significant milestone for both firms, offering enhanced capabilities, expertise, and resources to better serve their clients and foster continued growth in the wealth management space. This move reflects Merit’s commitment to strategic expansion, building on its success and reputation as a leader in financial planning and wealth management solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families navigating important life transitions. By bringing together the strengths of both firms, Merit and GlennCo are poised to deliver unparalleled service and value to their clientele.
