Rick Perry pledges to spend as much as necessary for John Cornyn

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry emphasized his unwavering support for Senator John Cornyn in the upcoming Republican primary while speaking in Austin. Perry heads the Lone Star Freedom Project, stating that they are willing to spend whatever it takes to ensure Cornyn’s victory amidst the extensive financial backing that Cornyn has received, amounting to nearly $18 million.

Senator Cornyn, currently in his fourth term in the U.S. Senate, faces tough competition from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Representative Wesley Hunt from Houston. The race is projected to extend to a May runoff, highlighting the intense battle for the Senate seat.
