File Your G.Skill Class Action Claim Now to Receive a Share of $2.4 Million Settlement
If you purchased a G.Skill DDR4 or DDR5 RAM kit and felt misled by the advertised speeds, there may be some compensation coming your way. A $2.4 million settlement has been reached in a class-action lawsuit against G.Skill for deceptive memory marketing practices. The settlement allows eligible G.Skill customers to claim a portion of the settlement amount through Angeion Group, a settlement administration firm overseeing the process.
The lawsuit alleged that G.Skill falsely advertised the speeds of its DDR4 and DDR5 DRAM memory products, leading consumers to believe that the advertised speeds were achievable without any adjustments to their PCs. Despite G.Skill’s denial of wrongdoing, the company agreed to settle the case to avoid the uncertainties and costs associated with ongoing litigation.
To be eligible to file a claim, you must have purchased a G.Skill DDR4 memory module with a rated speed exceeding 2133 MHz or a G.Skill DDR5 memory kit rated above 4800 MHz between January 31, 2018, and January 7, 2026, while residing in the United States. Claimants making five or fewer claims do not need to provide proof of purchase. The deadline to submit a claim form on the official Settlement Website is April 7, 2026.
While the total settlement amount is $2.4 million, the actual amount each claimant receives will vary based on the total number of claims submitted. Deductions from the total amount include administration costs, lawyer fees, and service awards, which could significantly reduce the payout for individual claimants. Despite the potential for a lower payout than expected due to deductions, every penny still counts, especially in light of rising memory and storage costs.
If you believe you meet the criteria for filing a claim and are eligible to receive compensation from the settlement, make sure to submit your claim before the deadline in order to be considered for a portion of the settlement funds. It’s essential to take advantage of this opportunity if you believe you were affected by G.Skill’s deceptive memory marketing practices to ensure you receive any compensation you may be entitled to.
