Tea user files class action after women’s safety app exposes data

According to the lawsuit, Reyes provided her Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to Tea during the account creation. The legal action was initiated by Cole & Van Note, a law firm specializing in handling data breaches. Scott E. Cole, one of the lawyers working on the case, highlighted the breach of trust experienced by Tea users who believed their information would be secure and used solely for identity verification purposes.
