A Day in the Life of Vincent Casanova at GTreasury

Vincent Casanova, as the General Manager of GTreasury’s APAC region and an essential member of the Global Executive Management Team, has shared insights into his daily routine and interactions with CFOs regarding AI and running that contributes to his work-life balance and performance.

In a typical day, Casanova leads cross-functional teams located in Singapore, Manila, and Sydney. He begins his day with internal calls to review client negotiations, project progress, and connect with his team leads from various departments. By minimizing the duration and frequency of internal meetings, he prioritizes team productivity and client service. The remainder of his day is dedicated to interacting with CFOs of existing and potential clients to discuss the business drivers of Treasury Management Solutions (TMS). Drawing from his experience as a Management Consultant focused on Digital Transformations, he highlights how TMS can address critical business and financial KPIs for CFOs.

Casanova’s role requires daily interactions with APAC CFOs, where he delves into understanding gaps and pain points in their treasury processes, particularly in liquidity management and cash forecasting. He finds excitement in the strategic impact of scalable solutions, particularly in Southeast Asia, where many corporations still rely on manual Excel sheets for crucial operations. Notably, AI has become a central topic in discussions with CFOs, revolutionizing treasury processes by speeding up implementations, enhancing decision-making through data insights, and enabling real-time query-based support.

Reflecting on his professional growth, Casanova attributes his transition from management consulting to the GM position at GTreasury as pivotal. Owning a full APAC P&L and driving hypergrowth targets while ensuring profitability has been both motivating and challenging. Casanova emphasizes the importance of building high-performing teams aligned with the company’s focus on meeting local client needs and regional initiatives.

Outside of work, Casanova finds inspiration in long-distance running, participating in Marathons and Ultra-Marathons across APAC. Despite his busy schedule, he prioritizes running as a way to maintain balance and enhance his performance. His participation in events like the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc, a grueling 170km trail race, reflects his commitment to endurance and personal growth beyond the professional realm.

Vincent Casanova’s dedication to leading teams, engaging with CFOs on strategic solutions, and prioritizing personal well-being through running exemplifies a well-rounded approach to work-life balance and professional growth at GTreasury.
