EFG Hermes obtains $190 million investment for Alameda Healthcare in significant M&A transaction

EFG Hermes, a subsidiary of EFG Holding and a prominent investment bank in the Middle East and North Africa region, recently facilitated a significant deal in the healthcare sector. This deal involved the signing of binding agreements for a $190 million minority stake investment in Alameda Healthcare, the largest private healthcare group in Egypt. The investment was made by Development Partners International (DPI) in collaboration with a group of esteemed institutional investors and renowned development finance institutions. Following the transaction, Dr. Fahad Khater, the Chairman of Alameda, will retain the majority stake in the group.

The investment, which is primarily structured as a capital increase, is currently awaiting regulatory approvals and is anticipated to be finalized in the third quarter of 2025.
