Ethereum Price Expected to Reach $3,000 Soon as Staking Pushes for Ethereum ETFs

Ethereum is facing a challenging time in the market, with its price dropping to $2500 amidst a broader market downtrend. However, despite this setback, on-chain data and increasing inflows into Ethereum-related Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) indicate a possible recovery to $3000 on the horizon. Moreover, SharpLink Gaming has taken a significant step, filing a prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to offer $1 billion in common stock to bolster its Ether Treasury.

Analysts are optimistic about Ethereum’s price recovery based on key on-chain metrics. After the recent rejection at $2700, Ethereum experienced a 9% correction in the past two days, causing a retreat to $2500. This correction led to approximately $160 million in liquidations of bullish leveraged ETH futures positions. Despite this, the annualized premium for ETH futures has held steady at around 6%, reflecting the compensation sellers demand for delayed settlement in neutral market conditions.

Rekt Capital’s data suggests that as long as Ethereum maintains its position above $2468, it could open the doors for a potential rally towards $3900. An interesting observation by Rekt Capital notes that Ethereum has been successfully retesting its support level, drawing similarities to its performance in early 2024.

SharpLink Gaming has made headlines with its SEC filing to conduct a $1 billion common stock offering to boost its Ether Treasury. The company revealed its intentions to use the proceeds from this offering to acquire Ether and appointed Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin as the chairman of its board of directors. Following this announcement, SharpLink Gaming’s stock price soared by 400% during a single trading session in May.

In a separate move, REXShares has submitted a prospectus for introducing staking for spot Ethereum ETFs in the United States, expected to debut shortly. On the other hand, the inflows into spot Ethereum ETFs have been steadily increasing, with ten consecutive days of inflows reported. Notably, BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) has been a significant contributor to these inflows.

While there is the promise of Ethereum’s price regaining momentum and potentially reaching $3000, it’s essential for investors to conduct their research and consult with financial professionals before making any investment decisions. Market conditions can be volatile and subject to rapid changes, so staying informed is crucial to navigate the cryptocurrency landscape effectively.
