During a press conference following the prospectus launch, Lim highlighted the company’s intention to capitalize on the national momentum towards renewable energy under the National Energy Transition Roadmap. The company plans to participate in more solar farm infrastructure projects as part of this initiative. One of the group’s completed projects, the Bidor solar photovoltaic project, featuring a 50 MWac LSSPV plant, is a testament to their commitment to renewable energy ventures.

Wawasan Dengkil’s business dynamics are driven by its substantial fleet of machinery and commercial vehicles, which provide operational control and efficiency. The company plans to enhance its fleet by acquiring additional excavators, mobile cranes, and dump trucks. This strategic move will enable Wawasan Dengkil to minimize dependence on third-party suppliers, resulting in improved cost efficiency and operational flexibility.

In addition to traditional earthworks projects, Wawasan Dengkil has ventured into solar farm projects, having submitted tenders worth approximately RM572 million. The company remains optimistic about future growth opportunities in the solar energy sector, particularly following the announcement of the LSS5 results. Although current revenue from solar projects is modest, Wawasan Dengkil anticipates an increase in contributions in the coming years as more projects materialize.

As of January 28, the company has 14 ongoing projects with an unbilled order book of RM378.14 million and a strong tender book amounting to RM1.3 billion. The IPO proceeds of RM27.01 million will be allocated towards various aspects of the business, including purchasing machinery and commercial vehicles, project working capital, general working capital, bank loan repayment, office renovations, and estimated listing expenses.

Financially, Wawasan Dengkil has demonstrated robust growth, with revenue increasing from RM69.86 million in FY21 to RM188.54 million in FY24, representing a compound annual growth rate of 39.23%. Net profit also saw a significant rise during the same period. Adjusted for gains from asset disposals, net profit increased from RM6.81 million to RM10.91 million, showcasing a CAGR of 17.02%. This financial performance underscores the company’s trajectory towards sustainable growth and market leadership in the earthworks and civil engineering sector.
