Avedzi takes over as Securities and Exchange Commission DG, replacing Ogbamey Tetteh
irman of the Finance Committee of Parliament and a former Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament. Additionally, he served as a former Deputy Minority Leader of the NDC in Parliament before his new appointment as the Acting Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As a seasoned Ghanaian politician, Dr. Avedzi represented the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as Member of Parliament for Ketu North across four parliamentary terms.
