Skiers File Class Action Lawsuit Against Vail Resorts for Park City Strike

0

Skiing enthusiasts recently took legal action against Vail Resorts, the owner of Park City Mountain, following a ski patrol strike that left only a portion of the resort accessible. The lawsuit, spearheaded by Christopher Bisaillon from Illinois, represents skiers who purchased lift tickets between December 27 and January 8 during the strike.

Bisaillon estimates that thousands of skiers and riders could potentially be affected, as they were unaware of the strike’s existence and its repercussions. According to the lawsuit, skiers like Bisaillon spent a significant amount of money, ranging from $10,000 to $20,000, for a full ski trip to Park City. In Bisaillon’s case, he reported skiing fewer than 10 runs during a week-long stay over the holidays, feeling shortchanged by his experience upon learning of the strike post-arrival.

The legal action aims to address the lack of disclosure by Vail Resorts and the impact it had on visitors’ experiences and financial investment in their ski trips. Stay informed as this story unfolds.
