Hesai recently unveiled its newest innovation, the AT1440 LiDAR, at the Consumer Electronics Show 2025 (CES 2025). This groundbreaking release boasts an impressive 1440 channels, setting a global record for automotive LiDAR technology. Compared to mainstream options, the AT1440 offers over 30 times higher resolution, achieving an angular resolution of 0.02°. The result? Ultra-high-definition, 3D point clouds that capture every detail with incredible precision.

Powered by Hesai’s latest fourth-generation technology platform, this Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) LiDAR utilizes cutting-edge photodetection and parallel processing methods. The company’s press release highlights the AT1440 as a game-changer for autonomous driving, revolutionizing the industry with its unparalleled capabilities.

But that’s not all – Hesai also introduced its next-generation solid-state FTX LiDAR. Featuring the largest field of view in the world for automotive-grade solid-state LiDAR, the FTX is a significant leap forward in sensing technology. With a panoramic 180°x 140° field of view, a detection range of up to 30 meters, and a rapid point rate of 492,000 points per second, the FTX is poised to enhance L3 and L4 autonomous driving.

In the world of LiDAR technology, innovation is a constant. Just as RoboSense Technology recently announced its EM4 LiDAR with up to 1,080 channels, Hesai pushes the boundaries with its AT1440 release. Both companies are driving progress in the sector, with RoboSense reporting a significant increase in LiDAR product sales in 2024 and Hesai consistently delivering cutting-edge solutions to the market.

In addition to the AT1440 and FTX LiDAR systems, Hesai also introduced the mini 3D LiDAR JT Series. Boasting the world’s widest field of view, the JT Series is a robotics LiDAR with a detection range of up to 60 meters. With a compact design featuring a bottom diameter of just 55mm, this series represents another milestone in LiDAR technology.

As LiDAR technology continues to evolve and expand, companies like Hesai and RoboSense are at the forefront of innovation, driving progress in autonomous driving systems and robotics applications. With each new release, the industry moves closer to a future where advanced sensing solutions redefine safety, efficiency, and performance on the road.
