SEC Declares Special Holidays for Securities Firms and Derivatives Operators

This year, Thailand is gearing up to celebrate its Year of Tourism and Sports in 2025. To support this initiative and boost the economy, the Cabinet has approved special official holidays. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has followed suit by designating additional holidays for securities companies and derivatives operators.

Mark your calendars for 2 June and 11 August 2025, as well as 2 January 2026, because these dates will be special holidays for these financial institutions. The SEC believes that these extra days off will not only align with the government’s goals but also support the overall holiday schedule for financial institutions and specialized financial institutions.
