Lilium Jet Commercial and Test Program Shows Continued Momentum
Lilium GmbH is thrilled to share the latest updates on the Lilium Jet commercial and test program, highlighting the ongoing momentum in their journey. The M&A process led by KPMG is still underway, ensuring the company’s financial restructuring remains on track.
Exciting news comes from The Ambitious Group, an executive eVTOL operator, as they sign a sales agreement with Lilium GmbH for the purchase of eight Lilium Jets, with an option for six more. This solidifies their commitment to providing electric air charter services, starting in regions like Southern Spain, Morocco, and the Benelux area, with expansion plans to the Caribbean.
With 108 firm orders and reservations in their pipeline, Lilium is making significant progress. Recently, they successfully completed a landing gear drop test, a crucial step for safety and certification. Additionally, their ducted fan technology is advancing with multiple engines being tested simultaneously.
What’s more, Lilium is rolling out a custom flight operations software solution in collaboration with UK aviation software specialist myairops. This software will manage flight and aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring smooth planning, scheduling, and tracking of flights.
Despite being in self-administered insolvency proceedings, Lilium remains committed to its mission of sustainable and accessible transportation. The company’s leadership continues to guide them through these restructuring proceedings, supported by a team of experts.
