Coinbase announces SEC to drop enforcement case
On February 21st, Coinbase made the announcement that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has tentatively agreed to drop a federal lawsuit against the company for alleged illegal securities sales. This decision is pending approval by SEC commissioners, but Coinbase firmly believes that they are on the right side of the law in this case. The company stated that the lawsuit “should never have been filed in the first place.”
