Experienced Technical Revenue Accountant in M&A Accounting Operations at Autodesk

The strategic initiatives of our company, such as business model transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and digital financial transformations, are supported by the M&A Accounting Operations team. The Senior Revenue Analyst will be responsible for assisting the M&A Accounting Operations Senior Manager with revenue operations related to mergers and acquisitions while also handling traditional accounting duties. This position is available for remote work anywhere in the USA.

Responsibilities of the Senior Revenue Analyst entail supporting the M&A Accounting Operations Manager in integrating acquired entities into the Autodesk ecosystem efficiently and with automation. The position requires analyzing the accounting, reporting, and process implications of acquired entities and offering guidance when necessary. Monthly activities include performing account analysis and reconciliations for M&A revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable, as well as preparing journal entries in line with ASC 606-Revenue from Contracts with Customers. Additionally, the role involves the preparation of quarterly audit schedules and reports to support internal and external reporting requirements. Processes and procedures, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance, should be implemented and documented as needed. The Senior Revenue Analyst will also participate in companywide projects for revenue accounting and the order-to-cash cycle and be responsible for the preparation of technical accounting memos detailing the application of ASC 606-Revenue from Contracts with Customers.

Minimum qualifications for the position include holding a CPA license and having a minimum of three years of experience, preferably a mix of public accounting and industry experience. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with excellent analytical, communication, and technical skills, as well as a positive attitude. Effective verbal and written communication skills are crucial, along with a capability to work well in both team environments and independently. Experience with monthly and quarterly close activities, account reconciliations, problem resolution, audit schedule preparation, as well as working with internal and external auditors is necessary. Additionally, familiarity with ASC 606-Revenue from Contracts with Customers, including performing contract analysis and documenting accounting conclusions under this standard, is vital. Hands-on experience with accounting systems like SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, and Rev Pro is preferred.
