Top M&A Firm in Spain 2024: Leading in Deal Count and Value

Garrigues, the prominent M&A firm in Spain, has once again secured its top spot in the market. With a total deal value of €30,856 million and a closed-deal count of 207, as reported by the TTR platform, the firm continues to lead the way. Fernando Vives also stands out as the top lawyer in terms of deal value.

In the ranking based on value, Garrigues took the lead with a total deal figure of €30,856 million. Their 207 closed deals reaffirmed their position as the most active firm in the country, a title they have maintained since 2017.

Individually, Fernando Vives excelled as the top lawyer by deal value, with a remarkable €17,289 million. Two other partners from the firm, Álvaro López-Jorrín and Leticia Comin, claimed spots in the ranking as well, with figures of €13,794 million and €12,770 million, respectively. Laura Muñoz also performed exceptionally, securing the ninth position with 16 advised deals.

The bustling activity in the Spanish M&A market is further highlighted by the general figures. According to TTR data, there were a total of 3,473 closed deals last year, representing an 8.33% increase from 2023. The cumulative value of these deals amounted to €95,791 million, marking an almost 11% growth from the previous year.

These statistics underscore the dynamic nature of the corporate landscape in Spain and shed light on the robust M&A activity shaping the industry.
