RE/MAX President Amy Lessinger Resigns After Short Stint in Leadership Role

0

RE/MAX announced that President Amy Lessinger is resigning after nearly 28 years with the company. The announcement was made through an SEC filing on January 3rd, with her last day being January 17th. The filing did not provide a reason for her resignation, but RE/MAX LLC is actively searching for the next president.

Lessinger’s career with RE/MAX began in 1996 as an agent and she worked her way up to various leadership roles before becoming President in February 2024. Her promotion signified her commitment to the growth of the company, especially focusing on stabilizing and growing the agent count in the U.S.

Despite the challenges the company has been facing, including a $96 million loss in 2023 and a decrease in agent count, Lessinger remained dedicated to driving RE/MAX forward. She played a significant role in the company’s initiatives and provided essential support to the network to help them excel in their roles.

Her departure is part of a larger restructuring within RE/MAX’s senior leadership. With CEO Nick Bailey stepping down and Erik Carlson taking on dual roles, RE/MAX is navigating through these changes while ensuring they find the right person to lead the company.

This is an ongoing story, and more details will be shared as they become available.
