RE/MAX President Amy Lessinger Resigns
RE/MAX President Amy Lessinger has announced her resignation after less than a year in the role. Her departure comes amid financial struggles for the company that have persisted over the past few quarters. Lessinger made the announcement in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, stating that she informed the company of her decision to step down on January 3, with her resignation becoming effective on January 17. RE/MAX is currently searching for a new president to take her place.
While Lessinger’s time as president saw challenges, including navigating antitrust litigation over agent commissions and facing falling revenue and declining U.S. agent count, she stood by the decisions made during her tenure. Despite her departure, current CEO Erik Carlson will assume her responsibilities until a successor is named. Additional leadership changes have also taken place recently at RE/MAX, showing a period of transition for the company.
