In her address, Vice Chair Lawson-Remer reflected on the challenges and rewards of being a County Supervisor. “I’ve worn many hats in my career, but being a County supervisor has been one of the most fulfilling roles,” she said. “Together, we’ve achieved so much, and I am committed to continuing this work for the community.”
Supervisor Joel Anderson, with over two decades of experience representing East County in various capacities, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve once again. “It’s a privilege to represent my district,” he shared. “The trust they place in me is humbling, and I am eager to continue serving them for the next four years.”
Meanwhile, Chairwoman Nora Vargas, who secured a second term, will be stepping down from her position in District 1. The County will follow established protocols to fill the vacancy, ensuring a smooth transition in alignment with San Diego County Charter. Stay tuned for updates on this process as it unfolds.
