Nio, BYD, Li Auto Support Tibet Earthquake Relief Efforts

Following a recent earthquake in Tibet that tragically claimed the lives of 126 individuals, local car companies have stepped up to support relief efforts. Nio, BYD, and Li Auto have made significant contributions to the relief fund.

Nio, recognized for its electric vehicles, donated RMB 1 million through the Nio Users Foundation towards providing emergency relief supplies. They remain attentive to the ongoing relief operations and are committed to extending their support as needed.

Li Auto, another key player in the electric vehicle sector, pledged RMB 5 million to the China Charity Federation to assist in the relief and reconstruction endeavors in the affected region. On the financial front, Li Auto has demonstrated strong performance, reporting a net income of RMB 2.82 billion in the third quarter.

BYD, a prominent producer of new energy vehicles, generously donated RMB 10 million through the BYD Charity Foundation towards post-disaster reconstruction in the impacted areas. Their commitment to aiding the affected communities is commendable, reflecting in their net income of RMB 11.61 billion reported for the third quarter.

In addition to these contributions, other noteworthy companies such as Great Wall Motor, GAC Group, and Xiaomi Public Welfare Foundation have also joined the relief efforts by collectively donating millions towards the cause.

This unified support from local car manufacturers underscores their commitment to social responsibility and their dedication to helping communities in times of need. While these companies continue to innovate and grow in the automotive industry, their humanitarian efforts during times of crisis serve as a testament to their values.
