Luxury Running Sneaker 2024: Best Pick for Style and Performance
In 2024, On really made waves. The Swiss company’s Q3 earnings report in November showed they were on track to sell about $2.6 billion worth of goods–a 32% increase from the year before, adjusting for currency. Clearly, this brand has been stepping things up.
Over time, those paying good attention would have seen this coming. Big moves like signing Zendaya to a multi-year deal and unveiling a new super shoe with a high-tech spray-on upper have drawn eyes to the On name. But what might have made a real splash was the collab with Loewe, a Spanish fashion brand.
In May of 2024, On came out with a clothing collection with Loewe that raised eyebrows for its pricey items and $550 sneakers. Luxury athleisure items weren’t the main focus, though. The star was the Cloudtilt shoe, as it got folks searching online in droves. Now, after its summer triumph, the brand is bringing back the Cloudtilt with three new eye-catching color schemes.
The original Loewe Cloudtilt of 2024 was a hit–taking the top spot on the well-known Lyst Index for Q2 of that year. This index, which rates the hottest items and brands, was buzzing with On and Loewe releases. Now, the 2025 version of the shoe is set to launch in January following the same selling strategy as last time.
This revised Cloudtilt nods to the old version with a cleaner look and pops of color almost exclusively on the tongue and heel cup. The brand logos remain the same, placed prominently, and the old version’s plastic-crafted emblem still sits on the heel. The new shoes will come in more white-heavy and neutral-heavy designs compared to the creamier tones of 2024.
For those keen on a pair, they’ll likely be around the same prices as last year when they go on sale in January. Both Loewe and On’s websites will stock the new Cloudtilt versions, crafted for men and women alike. If you’re in the market for some top-tier kicks, keep an eye out for these stylish new releases!
