BDO Welcomes M&A Advisor Martin Linhart to Sydney Deals Partnership
BDO has welcomed seasoned M&A advisor Martin Linhart as a new partner in Sydney. Linhart brings over 17 years of experience to BDO’s deals advisory team, with a strong background at top firms like PwC and Deloitte.
Previously, Linhart founded his own boutique consultancy in Sydney called Make Consulting, where he provided mid-market M&A services. However, it seems that Make Consulting has now shifted gears to offer emotional guidance and counseling for M&A professionals and impacted individuals.
With an engineering degree from TU Kaiserslautern and a career that started at Porsche, Linhart has worked on over 70 projects in 38 countries across various sectors like logistics, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and automotive. One of his notable projects includes BHP’s oil & gas divestment and merger with Woodside, where he led carve-out and integration planning efforts.
Most recently, Linhart co-led commercial due diligence for BDO’s engagement with Japanese company Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo on its acquisition of Melbourne-based STG Global. This $100 million deal showcases Linhart’s expertise in the M&A space.
In a recent interview, Linhart highlighted the gap in Australia’s M&A middle market and praised BDO for its support of transactions ranging from $20 million to $250 million. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for both Linhart and BDO in the world of deals and advisory services.
