Year-End Reflections on Time and Remembrance
I took a break recently, and it feels like it’s been a while since I last connected with you. Health reasons have kept me away, but I didn’t want the year to end without saying hello.
They say time seems to speed up as we get older, like sand slipping through our fingers faster and faster each year. I’ve definitely felt that this December has been a whirlwind of activity. Without my journal and messages, I worry I’ll forget it all before the month is over.
Here are some highlights: I impulsively flew to Busan to spend Christmas with my family, taking on new freelance projects along the way. There were rejections, but also an acceptance. At work, tough decisions loom, making me question my goals.
Then there are the little moments I don’t want to forget—a heartwarming letter, a video call with a dear friend, joining a friend for an event. Small things that make me grateful for memory.
Reflecting on the year is important, but I won’t bore you with those details. The point isn’t to count the grains of sand; it’s to imagine what we can create with them.
Thank you for reading this newsletter, for your time and kind words. Your support means the world to me. As you wrap up this month or year, take some time to rest, reflect, and celebrate being alive. Merry Christmas and happy holidays, dear friend. Let’s talk again soon.
