Ram R. Krishnan: Autodesk Software Solutions
Ram R. Krishnan has quite the career at Emerson, starting back in 1994 as a project engineer and working his way up to becoming the executive vice president and chief operating officer in February 2021. In his current role, he oversees various aspects of the business, including business segments, global sales, supply chain, information technology, mergers and acquisitions, and strategy. He’s also a member of Emerson’s Office of the Chief Executive and serves on the Board of Directors at Aspen Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AZPN).
Throughout his journey at Emerson, Krishnan has taken on various leadership roles. From his start as a project engineer, he progressed to vice president of marketing and business development for valve automation in 2000, accumulating more responsibilities over the years. Krishnan moved on to become president of refrigeration for Emerson in 2007, then took on the role of president of Climate Technologies in Asia in 2011, based in Hong Kong. He returned to the United States for a stint as vice president of profit planning and perfect execution in 2015, followed by becoming a group president of flow solutions in 2016.
With a strong educational background, Krishnan holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in materials engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University.
