The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming gathered for their regular meeting on December 17, 2024, with a warm welcome from Chairman Michael McNamee, Vice-Chairman Justin Burkart, Commissioner Aaron Walsh, and County Clerk Mary Feagler. The meeting kicked off with the Pledge of Allegiance and a festive greeting from Commissioner McNamee, wishing the community a Merry Christmas.

Throughout the meeting, important reports and updates were shared. Although Sheriff Kory Fleenor was not present, the earnings report from the Sheriff’s Office was shared – earnings reached $1,575.00 for November, while the Commissary brought in $9,321.56. These reports were reviewed, and Commissioner Walsh made a motion to approve them, which passed successfully.

Road Superintendent Chris Stoddard followed up with the Road & Bridge report, presenting a twenty-one acre plat for the Vann Subdivision, approved unanimously. Additionally, County Clerk Mary Feagler shared updates on warrants, payroll liabilities, and a midmonth voucher for The Cincinnati Insurance premium. Commissioner Walsh moved to approve these reports as well, all seconded and passed.

Fire Warden Thom Bozeman provided an update on the county’s current fire ban status, recommending that the Stage I Fire Ban remain in place due to the lack of moisture in the forecast for the next two weeks. This report was accepted by Commissioner Walsh.

Maintenance Supervisor Kevin Flock discussed the control panel project, noting additional valves needing replacement beyond the original quote, resulting in a bid price increase of $6,000 to $11,000. Commissioner Walsh moved to accept the Court House Maintenance report, which was approved.

The meeting concluded with an executive session and adjourned at 11:20 am, with the next regular meeting scheduled for January 7th.
