EHang, a leading Urban Air Mobility technology platform company, has joined forces with the People’s Government of Fangshan District, Beijing to launch a national headquarters for low-altitude emergency rescue equipment. This exciting partnership aims to elevate the low-altitude emergency rescue sector by creating a hub for innovation and development in Beijing.

The Beijing Low-Altitude Safety Emergency Industrial Park was inaugurated on December 25, marking the beginning of this collaborative effort. EHang will establish its National Headquarters for Low-Altitude Emergency Rescue Equipment in Fangshan District, Beijing, setting the stage for advancements in emergency rescue operations. The Fangshan District Government will provide support for this initiative, coordinating industrial funds to drive related projects forward.

EHang has made significant strides in intelligent aerial firefighting technology, introducing the world’s first large-payload EH216-F eVTOL aircraft in 2020. This cutting-edge aircraft can reach altitudes of up to 600 meters, offering precise directional firefighting capabilities, particularly useful in combating high-rise building fires. During a recent event, EHang showcased its comprehensive emergency firefighting solutions, demonstrating the EH216-F’s quick response, unmanned operation, and remote fleet management features.

Looking ahead, EHang and the Beijing Fangshan District Government will collaborate on establishing an Emergency Firefighting Industrial Park in Fangshan District. This park will serve as a center for research and development, testing, manufacturing, and training in the emergency rescue sector, fostering integrated development throughout the industry chain. Key facilities will be developed to support EHang’s emergency rescue products, including innovation centers, manufacturing bases, command-and-control centers, and testing centers.

In line with the Action Plan for the Development of Key Areas in Safety Emergency Equipment issued in 2023, which emphasizes the importance of high-tech safety emergency equipment, EHang’s partnership with the Beijing Fangshan District Government aligns with China’s goals to achieve a thriving safety emergency equipment industry by 2025.

During the event, expert consultants for Beijing’s low-altitude safety and emergency rescue industry were appointed, further showcasing the commitment to enhancing aviation emergency rescue capabilities in China. Daxiang Liu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, emphasized the significance of the low-altitude economy in driving China’s economic development and the importance of advancing aviation emergency rescue capabilities for the benefit of society as a whole.

Overall, the partnership between EHang and the Beijing Fangshan District Government represents a strategic initiative to foster innovation, develop cutting-edge technologies, and establish Beijing as a key player in the low-altitude emergency rescue industry.
