US Commerce Imposes Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties on Frozen Warmwater Shrimp
The US Department of Commerce has made an important announcement regarding duty orders on frozen warmwater shrimp imports. These orders will impact countries like Ecuador, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia. As of December 26, 2024, retailers and suppliers dealing with shrimp from these countries will need to take note of the new rates indicative of these significant changes.
For frozen shrimp imports from Ecuador, India, and Vietnam, the Commerce Department has imposed antisubsidy duty orders. These rates range from 2.84 percent to 221.82 percent. This indicates the additional costs importers will need to consider moving forward. On the other hand, frozen warmwater shrimp from Indonesia will also face antidumping duties ranging from zero to 3.90 percent.
