Rakkar Attains Thailand Digital Asset Custodian License, Exceeds $700M in Transactions
Rakkar Digital recently reached two significant milestones that solidify its position as a leader in the digital asset custody sector in Asia. The company secured a Digital Asset Custodian License from Thailand’s Ministry of Finance under the oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), allowing it to provide regulated institutions in Thailand with robust solutions for managing digital assets. Rakkar has also surpassed an impressive $700 million in Assets Under Custody (AUC), demonstrating its rapid growth and commitment to offering institutional-grade custody solutions across the region.
By focusing on private key security and operational efficiency, Rakkar aims to meet the demands of the evolving digital asset economy. The company has been praised for delivering industry-leading service-level agreements (SLAs), enabling institutional clients such as exchanges, brokers, and fund managers to scale their operations with agility and confidence.
Arthit Sriumporn, founder and CEO of Rakkar, expressed gratitude for the support of SCB 10X and the company’s clients and partners. He highlighted Rakkar’s commitment to setting the gold standards for security, compliance, and innovation, reflecting the strength of the company’s vision and the confidence its clients place in its solutions.
Rakkar’s success comes as Thailand’s digital asset ecosystem garners increasing attention, with the company expected to foster trust and innovation in the region. The latest license granted to Rakkar follows Kasikornbank’s Orbix Custodian, which received Thailand’s first Digital Asset Custodian permit in September, with operations set to begin in early 2025. This growth in digital asset custodians is setting a benchmark for the region, enabling institutions to navigate the future of digital assets with security and confidence.
