2025 AMF Annual Fee Increases Announced
The Autorité des marchés financiers has announced that annual and other fees under its administration will increase starting January 1, 2025. These fee adjustments, which range from 1.6% to 2.85%, are based on the Quebec consumer price index and are not subject to a provincial government tariff cap.
Fees related to various acts, such as the Securities Act, Insurers Act, and Trust Companies and Savings Companies Act, will see a 2.85% increase. On the other hand, fees associated with the Act Respecting the Distribution of Financial Products and Services will rise by 1.6%. These increments are set by law each year on January 1 and are tied to the consumer price index, excluding alcoholic beverages and tobacco products for Quebec.
This annual adjustment ensures that the fees charged remain aligned with the cost of living, enabling the Autorité des marchés financiers to continue its regulatory functions effectively. Make sure to factor these updates into your financial planning for the upcoming year!
