Teba, a systems integrator, is tapping into Nutanix as an alternative to VMware following Broadcom’s acquisition of the latter. Alan Hodson, Teba’s pre-sales and project lead, highlighted that the changes from VMware’s acquisition have resulted in higher costs for many customers. Teba has been working with its customers to explore options and potentially switch to more cost-effective solutions.

One of the alternatives Teba is offering to its customers is Nutanix, a vendor partner they have been collaborating with for several years. Hodson mentioned that Nutanix has provided flexibility in terms of pricing models, whether customers prefer a traditional capex approach or an opex model. The affordability and flexibility of Nutanix have been beneficial for many customers facing increased costs from VMware licensing changes.

Not only is Teba recommending Nutanix to its customers, but they are also utilizing Nutanix technology for their own internal operations for customer hosting. This decision was driven by the cost-effectiveness and flexibility that Nutanix offers. Overall, Teba is working closely with Nutanix to meet the evolving needs of their customers, providing not only cost-effective solutions but also reliable services that alleviate the risk associated with platform changes.
