Students Engage with Investors, Regulators, and Finance Policymakers at Dartmouth Event
This winterim, students in Econ 70 got an insider view into the world of finance by meeting with top regulators, financial policy leaders, and institutional investors in New York and Washington. Led by Professor Bruce Sacerdote, the class delved into historic financial shocks, from the Silicon Valley Bank run to the 2008 global financial crisis.
Former Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, among other experts, shared their experiences and insights with the students. Geithner, now the president of a private equity firm, played a pivotal role in navigating the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.
